The Diner is a popular lunch place in the heart of Soho. It is a cool American Diner that on a Friday is exceptionally busy come One O’Clock. So I decided to go on a Friday. Unsurprisingly it was very busy so I sat at the bar and took it all in.

The Riding House Café
Famed for brunch, which I have had here plenty of times, I decided to have an intimate dinner here. In the middle of the bustling restaurant we were sat on a shared table. Chips were shared too and although this restaurant cooks a mean brunch, the dinner menu did not disappoint.
Cinnamon Soho
The restaurant was quiet but it was on a miserable Sunday so no surprises there. The service wasn’t great plus a lot of the items on the menu were not available (why not make the menu smaller?)
Grillshack
I went when I was really hungry and couldn’t wait to eat Grillshack’s ‘shoestring fries’.
John Lewis Brasserie
The restaurant was quietly occupied and the service was, like the rest of John Lewis, fantastic. But overall I found the experience to be somewhat lacking.
