The Riding House Café

Famed for brunch, which I have had here plenty of times, I decided to have an intimate dinner here. In the middle of the bustling restaurant we were sat on a shared table. Chips were shared too and although this restaurant cooks a mean brunch, the dinner menu did not disappoint.

Time of Visit – Dinner, 23rd October

Cost of Chips – £3.75

How were the chips?

The Riding House Café

On first taste these chips were only alright. The chips on top of this industrial-style ramekin had a crispy outside but were a little limp inside. However they improved enormously. After the top layer had been eaten, the chips underneath were better seasoned, their saltiness and crispness were perfect. These were great chips that left me wanting more.

Chips: 8/10

And how were the toilets?

The toilets surpassed the chips. The theme of this restaurant is industrial and this carries on into the toilets. The long urinals, the way in which a lever turns on and off the taps, and my favourite detail, the Dyson Airblade that is encased in mental. These toilets were great.

Toilets: 9/10

Overall: 8.5/10

This place serves one of the best brunches but dinner here is great, not perfect but pretty close
