I went when I was really hungry and couldn’t wait to eat Grillshack’s ‘shoestring fries’.
Time of Visit – Lunchtime, 13th September 2013
Cost of chips – £2.50
I liked the attention to detail with this restaurant and I liked the food too but is this a case of style over substance?
How were the chips?
The chips, sorry fries were nice but they were cold quickly and being shoestring fries, there isn’t a huge amount of potato to eat here. Seasoning wasn’t great either but they were tasty particularly with some added condiments.
Chips: 6/10
And How Were The Toilets?
Really nice, they have carried this pseudo American theme through and partnered with the nearby skincare company Aesop to provide soap and moisturiser, lovely. Aesop I believe have also provided scent too, Also lovely.
Toilets: 8/10
Overall: 7/10
This place used to be a bar that smelt of urine, it now smells lovely but I think the food and the chips in particular are only a bit better than bar food
